Who are we
EXETI draws on the experience, skills and reputations of its 5 founders and their networks to provide project assurance, programme management, innovation evaluation, strategy formulation and all related services to organisations involved in the management, development, delivery, funding or commercialisation of innovation.
EXETI’s skills and experience are particularly well suited to innovation and growth in the areas of energy, climate change mitigation and sustainability. The team has a deep experience of the challenges facing innovators and funders alike. There is a strong focus on systems thinking, project evaluation and shaping and on project assurance.
The team has a knack of “seeing the wood for the trees” and spotting problems before they arise and advising investors and funders accordingly. Technical areas of focus include gases and CCS, renewables, heat, EVs, decarbonisation of transport, bioenergy, industrial decarbonisation, and the more general topics of the management of innovation and the challenges facing SMES as they strive to commercialise their innovations.
The founders of EXETI were instrumental in the success of the Energy Technologies Institute, a pioneering organisation operating at the interface of business, policy and academia from 2010 to 2019. The ETI delivered over 150 innovation projects across the energy and related space, testing concepts and cost assumptions, accelerating technology, supporting policy formulation, advising business strategies and developing capability. Over its time, the ETI contributed evidence and tools that shaped much of the UK’s energy transition approach.
The unique selling point of EXETI lies in the strength, skills and experience of its core team, drawn from the heart of the ETI. The core team is complemented by EXETI’s reach into extended networks of expertise and support built over 10 years of operating at the forefront of the UK’s low carbon energy transition.
EXETI, can provide assurance services to funders, innovators and provide innovators with the support need in the delivery of projects - the team can spot problems, formulate solutions and then access the resources to deliver results.
